Modifications: Since I made up the pattern, there aren't really modifications per se. I did learn, however, that moss stitch is really stretchy and will make the hem flutter if not worked on smaller needles than the main fabric. Used US 3s on the last three rows of the sleeves, and the bind-off on the hem.
