I have never posted a comment on a blog before but this bag is so beautiful! I'm so impressed that you are a graduate student and such an accomplished knitter. I have been teaching yoga for eight years and knitting for at least 20. Any chance of getting the pattern for this gorgeous bag that combines both of may passions?

Thank you! What lovely comments:) I'm so glad you like my bag! I also love yoga and knitting! A pattern? This might be a bit tricky, since I made this up as I was knitting it. I started with an entrelac rectangle, and then picked up stitches lengthwise to make the rest. I remember having to pick up other stitches because it wasn;t wide enough, and the bottom was a bit strange too. I can't remember exactly how I did it though:( I'll look at it again, though, and see if I can figure it out.
