Ravelympics: Day One

Today is Day One of Ravelympics!

It's 8 am and I am starting out the competition on my small-to-medium effort project, Beechwood. I plan to work on this little guy today, in between dissertation work. The plan for right now is to begin with one full hour of knitting over breakfast or at least tea (a bit early for food really). Then I will begin alternating: 1.5 hours of dissertation writing (yes, actually writing, not reading or pondering or just staring into space) followed by 0.5 hours of knitting. I'll keep going this way until 2, and then head home for more dissertation writing. I hope this will enable me to get good head start on this cowl and not feel guilty about it! BySarah has made one in 2 1 days, so there is hope I can get pretty far today, although she does knit faster than I do...

Tomorrow I will post pictures of my Beechwood progress and start project #2.

Until next time...
