Long Time, No See

I've been backed up lately with work, holiday crafting, department appearances, and Latin...a lot of Latin:( So, this will basically be a pictorial post. I still can't say a whole lot about what I am working on for several of my WIPs, but I started and finished some new ones for me that I can talk about...

Mums the Word!

These are snapshots of gifts, but for who? I'm not telling (supply sing-song-y voice).

Sewing Successes!

When I was in undergrad, I bought a pair of fleece pants from the Gap for $20 or so...I have worn those pants often for the last 8 years. About a year ago, the thighs finally gave out and I knew I needed to replace them. No one had the right texture fleece. I gave up hope still wearing my shredded relics around the house. And then I learned to sew! So I bought some fleece a couple of months ago with the intention of making some new ones. And I did! I also made another carrying case for my knitting projects. This one, although a botched attempt at a box bag (my mind wandered big time!), I think it looks quite sleek and I enjoy the size immensely!

Knitting Projects for Me!

The New Peacoat from IK Fall is a bit demoralizing right now because I added one extra purl stitch, throwing off the entire row which took about 50 minutes to knit:( So while I gather the courage to rip it back, I am working on these...aren't they fabulous? I'm using Shibui Sock in Ink and Knit Picks Essential in Gulfstream. I'm hoping to make these my first successful pair of knee socks. We'll see how it goes!

I'm leaving for WI at 4am Tuesday morning. I will be taking several projects with me that just may be finished when I return on the 2nd! Fingers crossed:)

Until next time...
