Forked: Central Park Hoodie

Yarn: Lion Brand Vanna's Choice Solid [100% acrylic; 170 yds / 155 m per 100g skein]; color: 130 Honey; 8 skeins

Care: machine wash warm, machine dry

Needles: US 5 / 3.75 mm and US 7 / 4.5 mm Inox Express 40" circulars

Pattern: Central Park Hoodie by Heather Lodinsky (larger sizes modified by Lisa Shroyer)

Modifications: Oh boy...take a seat! 1) 3.125” rib. 2) After finishing the hood, I seamed up the side and shoulder seams. 3) Picked up 72 stitches around each arm hole and worked 9.4 repeats of the pattern, decreasing on the 3rd round of each full pattern repeat. 4)Worked 3 inch ribbed cuffs on the sleeves. 5) Picked up 202 stitches along right front panel, hood, and left front panel. Worked according to directions, working a total of 7 rds. Bound off using stretchy bind off.

Comments: The modified (for larger gals) pattern is way off on the yardage. It called for the equivalent of 13 skeins of this yarn, and I only needed 8! This should be listed on the pattern errata, in my opinion. Other than that the final product is glorious. So beautiful and sleek, and cozy looking. I can see what all the fuss is about. I just wish it didn't need so many modifications and was assembled in a more reasonable way. I think the way I did it was fairly simple after all the mods:) My mom loves it, and it fits almost perfectly. A little washing machine blocking, and it should be perfect!

It's a beautiful sweater, My Little One. It was cold today and I wore it to breakfast. Kept me nice and toasty. - Mom
