Today at 1pm I begin the first of my three preliminary exams to move to candidacy. I'm really nervous, but trying to remember that I am in fact prepared, or rather that somewhere in the recesses of my brain, I know all the information. By Friday afternoon, I will be finished with exams and an article I promised to write! Then I can throw caution to the wind, and resume my knitting with vigor:) Well, in between numerous laundry runs and furiously packing for my Tuesday departure to Greece! The plane rides should be relaxing at least...

What do you say to an archaeologist student for luck? "Break a leg" doesn't seem appropriate, considering the brittleness of the bones you dig up; however, you say it to dancers...hmmmm.
Congrats on finishing up the exams ... and have fun in Greece! Take lots of photos to share on your blog! And get some hot, Greek gentleman to take photos of you knitting! ;)
Thanks Jill! I already have 1500 or so from last summer...but you never can have too many photos. I definitely need to figure out how to make a thumbnail gallery! Anyway, I hope to make a nice dent in my stash while I am away. I'll post them all when I'm back stateside:)
