The Shame of It All...

I thought it would be nice to reorganize my knitting stash, current projects, and needles so that I would not be able to use that later on as a means to procrastinate. Exams are still fast approaching! While it was well overdue, and liberating (3 projects and 5 balls of yarn are no more), I still have 8 projects on my needles! So unfortunate. I thought I was doing pretty good at finishing projects, but I certainly have my work cut out for me this next year. Oh, and I will need to start another project for a friend's upcoming wedding! But it doesn't count if you give it away, right??

Here's what I'm "working" on at the moment:

My First Aran Afghan (begun several years ago, I lost interest and one of the needles)

Sweet Sweater with Frill (begun several years ago, newly found interest has me working on it again, a little more than one sleeve to go)

Leaf Square Afghan (begun several years ago, lost interest)

Wide-rib Scarf (started October 2006, nice yarn, nice color, but so boring to knit)

Sock-it-to-Me Toe-Up Chevron Socks (started December 2006, hope to complete these as knee socks this summer)

V-Neck Boucle Chevron Sweater (started January 2007, boucle is hard to knit!)

Nantucket Jacket (started January 2007, still working slowly on this)

1930s Stripes Sweater (started April 2007, can't stop working on this!, my first vintage knit)

Wow Sarah, all those projects are so cool! I can't wait to see how they all turn out! :)
I'm especially interested in that vintage sweater.
I have several socks I'm knitting too...for some reason, I enjoy knitting socks in the sweltering summer heat. :-/
Now that I think about it...I am also working on an afghan...'cause when it's 90 degrees on the coast, what better than to knit a blanket?
Oh well, at least they'll be done by winter (not saying which year though) and I'll be warm.

Thanks Bella! Yes, why do we always knit out of season? I'm near the other coast, RI, but it was sweltering here today. I definitely can't think about knitting anything warm right now. My friend's getting married in August and I volunteered to knit her a blue garter, so that should be more summery. Good luck with your socks:)

Sarah's mom, here. I taught my little darling to knit so I guess I share some of the shame. Oh well, at least she's not addicted to bungee jumping. - Mom
