DIY Sofa

I live in a third floor apartment. The task of bringing furniture up to this apartment is beyond even Herakles. That said, my futon was showing its age. It needed to go, and I helped it along. I came across a company called Home Reserve which claimed to mail a sofa to you in two 64 lb boxes. Right. But after reading a lot of testimonials , and finding the price to my liking, I decided to give it a shot.

Behold the before and after of my new sofa.

This picture shows the sofa before the hidden storage compartments were finished! The pieces all came numbers, and not with numbered stickers that could easily fall off. The numbers were actually cut into the particle board. On top of that, everything is cut by machine, and the holes all lined up! I had one minor problem, but it was most likely due to me trying to put it together alone, rather than the product being faulty.

And this is the finished product! It's a gorgeous color and soft as silk. The cushions are intentionally firm to prevent premature sag, but I already love sitting or laying on it. Best of all, it didn't bankrupt me! So, I would highly recommend this company if you are in the market for any type of upholstered seating. In fact, I plan to buy a matching ottoman in a few weeks to go with my new lovely sofa!

Where did you get this? I'm looking for a lightweight, fairly inexpensive sofa.
