I have been a very naughty knitter. I've had my hands more often than not on only one project this week, and I think some of my projects are starting to get a little jealous. Just the other day, Sweet Sweater with Frill asked me, "Don't you still find me attractive?" "Yes, but not as much as My Raglan Sweater, and certainly not as much as the Riblet Platter Socks..." This forced rotation has made me acutely aware of how I end up with WIPs that are several years in the making. I play favorites. Or rather, I knit favorites. Sweet Sweater with Frill has a point. I'm very close to casting her off, but as BB King said, "the thrill is gone, baby". The Raglan has stolen my heart and fingers as I work desperately to fork something. And yet if the goal is simply to fork something, Sweet Sweater with Frill would be the logical project. What gives, you ask? I'll confess...I've started to revert back to my monogamous ways. I like Raglan better right now, so I spend more time knitting Raglan. Thanks to Anna's hysterical entreaty, however, this stops today! Behold faithful readers, a pictorial update of all my WIPs. This week I will resume equal love sharing. Sorry Raglan! This needs to be frogged. So technically I haven't progressed on this project at all after almost a month of rotating it:( I've completed another full repeat! Three down, ??? to go:) After repeated frogging, this project is back on track and not looking too bad (insert pat on the back). This project is ridiculously slow going, but I still love the yarn and the little cables:) One more full repeat, and I can actually move on to the leg pattern! Woo-hoo! These socks are progressing nicely, although my Tofutsies allergy is still present. Luckily, they aren't for me so I can work on them happily knowing the sneezing and scratchy throat will not last forever:) So close...but so far away...doesn't any project stay in one place anymore? I hate you, but I love you too. Maybe my friend can use you in a Punky Brewster fashion so I don't have to make your twin...hmm... I'm not even sure why I'm knitting you, but I love your wonderful shade of "pink".
The neglected lover (er..project). "Baby come back to me..." I'm back Sweet.
In the spirit of renewed polygamy, this week's projects will be Sweet Sweater with Frill (I heard you loud and clear), Rhiannon Socks, Nantucket Jacket, and Scala Socks. Even though you make me sad Scala, I will not ignore you this week. You can't help being so complicated.
Whew! That's a lot of WIPs:) And now for a little silliness... I came across this poll here and I thought it looked intriguing.

Well, I couldn't resist your reference to knitting and polygamy on the beginner raglan thread on Craftster. Ha ha. I'm following the Jeff's case, but not religiously (pun?) Hooray for knitting grad students!
